I have potentially come up with an idea that a couple of hundred dollars worth of materials and locations to put towers would allow for locating any signal transmitted within a given area using AI and some receivers (essentially AI trained to "fox hunt"). My thoughts would be to potentially use it to help locate repeated and intentional violators of frequency allocation but I also understand how it may make some people feel uncomfortable being able to be located whenever they are transmitting. I wanted to get people's opinions on the topic before investigating the idea further. My thoughts are that I can't be the only one to have thought of this and due to the low barrier to entry it could be done by someone with much more malicious intent.
