I sold my GD-77 just before these guys started hacking the firmware for the GD-77. Anybody in the club using OpenGD77 firmware? The radios are inexpensive - I guess I'll buy another one. Some cool features - including hot-spot mode. The radio will directly talk to a Raspberry Pi-Star hot-spot and become a hot-spot with a real receiver and transmitter without all the frequency offset issue the MMDVM boards have. A "high powered" hot spot too. We could get 20 or 30 of these going across town and set up a DMR roaming network....and use an Anytone mobile radio to cross band the analog stuff to the DMR side....and maybe the other way around.

The Open-GD77 firmware is very stable now. Great DMR HT with an interface and CPS designed by hams.
