I'm wondering what we use for DMR here in Parker. I don't currently use DMR, so I'm thinking forward to the HAM fest coming up, and looking at my shopping list (very short currently).
So, the question is: "What radio do you use for DMR?"

I think I've owned "too many" DMR radios. Right now, I'm down to using a XPR-7550 HT. Great commercial grade handheld. On a budget, you can find an XPR-6550 for good prices. The only real difference between the two may be some memory channel differences; the main difference is a color display on the 7550.
The TYT MD 380's or 390 series are good as well. I've had luck with both the single band and dual band versions. Virtually all DMR repeaters in the area are UHF, so you're not missing much on VHF, other than analog repeaters.
All the above mentioned radios operate in DMR and analog.
A few members have had great luck with the Anytone radios as well...I believe they are the 878 series.

I was wondering about the Anytone D878UV HTs. They certainly review well. Do people use hotspots for DMR, or do they typically hit the repeaters like the watertower?
