In my quest to go digital HF I attempted to load the Yaesu USB driver on a new computer.  I've done this in the past with other Yaesu radios operating Windows 10.  The actual USB driver is SiliconLabs CP210x.

This time around the driver does not appear in my device manager.  It appears to be stuck in my download file.  When I attempt to manually load the driver in device manager it will not open the CP210x driver in the download file and gives me a message about "unsigned software".

Contacting Silicon Labs they have identified a problem with Windows 10 ver 1803 (my OS on the new machine).

Contacting Yaesu Tech support they say the driver should work with all Windows 10 versions.

Who do I believe?  I sure would like to assure that the driver is properly installed before attempting to use a USB port on my Yaesu transceiver.  Any one else out there aware of this problem?  This is one of the reasons I've never liked MS OS.  I'm a Mac guy, however, MS dominates the ham software field .

I thought I am the admin on this new machine.  I'll double check.

Finally found the problem.  Yaesu did not have the latest driver on their website for download even though they assured me it was the latest.

After downloading the latest driver software from a Microsoft website the problem went away.

I informed Yaesu.  Hopefully they have corrected their website download version of the driver.
