I have been trying to add some BNC connectors to cables. The crimp on ones seem to work the best. What is everyone using?
I remember using (and liking) twist-on ones for ARCNET in my youth. Gotta imagine crimp is better though.
While on the subject, does anyone have tools for crimping UHF N-Type? The yagi I'm putting up at the water tower for the W0CFI AllStar link needs an N to 259 cable.

I always used soldered 259s. In the rare cases where I needed a BNC, N or even an RCA connector I used an adaptor. I have one of each adapters in a small box. Some folks are worried about losses from adapters, however, I saw an article once where 20-25 adapters were connected in series and overall loss was nil!
I just couldn't see stocking a bunch of connectors I did not use much. But then again....I'm lazy!
I do the very same but for an exterior deployment on a tower, minimizing connectors would be best.
